Mared Sengo
Ranger
Mared Sengo
Species
Half-Elf
Appearance
Mared is a tall, rangy half-elf whose body looks built by distance rather than exercise. His shoulders are narrow, his wrists corded, and his feet turn slightly outward from a lifetime spent crossing dunes in soft leather shoes. His skin is deep copper-brown, weathered across the nose and cheekbones, with a pale scar running from his left temple to the hinge of his jaw. One pointed ear is pierced with three tiny brass rings, while the other has been cut blunt at the tip in an old tribal mourning rite. He moves with an economical, almost unhurried gait, yet can cross a room before a startled person finishes inhaling. His hands are rough and cracked, more like a herdsman's than a prince's. The unexpected contradiction is his smile: broad, warm, and boyish, completely at odds with the guarded stillness of his eyes. People often remember that smile first, then realize later that he noticed every weapon, exit, and lie in the room.
“His voice is low, dry, and steady, with a musical cadence that becomes more pronounced when he speaks Keshari Cant or Elvish. He pauses often, not from uncertainty but to give others room to reveal themselves.”

Distinguishing Features
A pale scar from the left temple to the jaw hinge
Three brass rings in the right ear and a blunt, mourning-cut left ear tip
A white salt stain permanently embedded in the hem of his indigo coat
A faint crescent-shaped birthmark beneath his right collarbone
A three-legged antelope that follows him whenever she is allowed near camp
Voice
“Low, dry, and measured, with a warm musical rhythm that sharpens into clipped precision when he gives an order”
Clothing
A sleeveless indigo riding coat over a sand-colored linen tunic, layered leather scale panels dyed dark red at the ribs, soft wrapped trousers, a broad veil for dust storms, and a faded green sash bearing the knot-pattern of the Keshari heir. His clothing is carefully repaired rather than replaced, and the hem of his coat is stained white with salt.
Body Language
Mared sits with his back to a wall and keeps one hand loose near his spear without appearing threatening. In conversation, he leans forward as if sharing a confidence, then briefly looks past the speaker toward the horizon. When angry, he removes his rings one by one and places them in a neat row. When moved, he touches the scar at his jaw and smiles as if embarrassed to have been seen caring.
