Channeller, Veil Current

Species
Human
Appearance
Lenora looks as though she was assembled from etiquette lessons, moonlit water, and one badly kept secret. She is poised and fine-boned, with a long neck, narrow wrists, and a measured way of turning that makes her seem to arrive a heartbeat before her body does. Her skin has the warm brown tone of polished teak, but a faint silvering shows along her knuckles when she is frightened or casting. Her expression is usually composed, although her left eyebrow rises a fraction whenever someone lies. She leaves behind an impression of cool perfume, expensive paper, and the unsettling certainty that someone else may be standing just behind you.
“Her voice is low, clear, and carefully paced, with a gentle river-country lilt beneath formal court diction. She rarely raises it.”

Distinguishing Features
A thin crescent scar beneath her right ear, shaped like a smile.
Silver flashes across her knuckles whenever her Veil Current responds to fear.
Her reflection sometimes blinks a moment after she does.
She wears a signet ring hidden beneath her blouse rather than on her hand.
The hem of her coat is embroidered with one deliberate mistake, a broken river line commemorating her sister.
Voice
“Velvet-smooth and unhurried, with a faint musical cadence. Her laughter is unexpectedly loud and bright, the one sound that makes her seem genuinely young.”
Clothing
A smoke-blue silk coat-dress tailored close to the body, layered over a high-collared cream blouse. The embroidery depicts interlocking river bends in muted copper thread. Her gloves are dove-gray kid leather, her boots are soft black riding boots, and her jewellery consists of a single oval garnet, pearl hairpins, and a signet ring worn on a chain beneath her clothing.
Body Language
Her posture is impeccable, with shoulders relaxed and chin level. She rarely gestures broadly. Instead, she adjusts a cuff, tilts her head, or places two fingers against a tabletop to signal decisions. When genuinely angry, she becomes completely still except for the slow closing of one hand.
