Mira Bramblefoot
Ranger, Beast Master
Mira Bramblefoot
Species
Lightfoot Halfling
Appearance
Mira Bramblefoot looks like a kindly country aunt who wandered into a storybook and decided to run it. Her compact body is wrapped in weathered leather, wool, and faded crimson canvas, all smelling faintly of cedar shavings, rain, and animal musk. She moves with a rolling, almost lazy gait until something threatens a creature under her care, at which point her posture snaps taut and her hands become frighteningly precise. Her smile is warm, but her stillness is predatory. The unexpected contradiction is her immaculate white gloves, which she wears even while cleaning cages, treating wounds, or fighting in mud. Each glove is embroidered with tiny green leaves, and neither has ever shown a stain.
“Her voice is low, brisk, and musical, with the practiced projection of a performer addressing a distant balcony. She speaks in affectionate nicknames when calm and clipped command phrases when threatened.”

Distinguishing Features
A crescent-shaped scar runs from her left temple to the corner of her mouth.
Her left canine tooth is capped in brass after an angry dire goat broke it.
A tiny black marten frequently emerges from her coat collar to inspect strangers.
Her white gloves are embroidered with living green thread that slowly curls toward nearby plants.
She carries a ring of keys engraved with the names of animals she has lost.
Voice
“A warm contralto with a smoky edge, capable of filling a circus tent without becoming harsh. When she gives an animal command, her voice drops almost below hearing, yet every creature nearby seems to notice.”
Clothing
A deep green tailcoat cut from patched velvet, reinforced trousers, high mud-scarred boots, a red waist sash filled with whistles and keys, white gloves, and a battered crescent-shaped hat pinned with shed feathers from former animal companions.
Body Language
Mira leans slightly toward animals and slightly away from self-important people. She keeps one hand near her whistle, tilts her head when judging a lie, and becomes unnervingly motionless when violence is about to begin.
