Appearance
Katia Lorn is a lean chromavaft woman who seems to be moving even while standing still, as if her body remembers tides no one else can see. Her skin carries a pearly opalescence that shifts subtly from sea-glass green to bruised violet depending on the light, but her left hand is startlingly matte and coal-dark, a contradiction she hides in glove or gesture. Fine scale-like ridges run along her collarbones and the outer edges of her forearms, catching light like cracked lacquer. Her features are sharp and elegant, with a long, slightly crooked nose and a mouth that always looks one breath away from a joke or a warning. She wears her hair in a cropped cascade of silver-black strands threaded with tiny mirror beads, and when she turns her head the beads chime softly against each other. Her expression is usually alert and faintly wary, but her eyes have a warm, almost disarming softness that makes people underestimate her until she has already noticed everything in the room.
“Measured, vivid, and precise, with an occasional dockside slang term or dry half-joke dropped at exactly the wrong or right moment..”
