Neutral Good

Species

Marsh half-elf

Appearance

Tavra is a slight young marsh-dweller with long limbs and a careful, floating gait, as if every step has been rehearsed to avoid waking the mud. Her skin has the muted brown-green tone of river reeds beneath cloudy water, textured with tiny pale freckles that resemble seed husks. Her hair is a tangled fall of dark copper strands, threaded with living rushes that slowly turn toward nearby sunlight. Her hands are stained black beneath the nails from root dyes and grave soil. She wears a constant expression of watchful concern, yet her smile is startlingly bright and theatrical when she forgets to be afraid. The unexpected contradiction is that she looks fragile and half-starved, but her grip is strong enough to bend a green branch with one hand.

Soft and careful, with a faint musical lilt. She lowers her voice around animals and speaks in clipped, exact sentences when angry.”

Distinguishing Features

A pale crescent scar crosses her left palm from the Saint Orra shrine incident.

The rushes braided into her hair remain green even in winter.

One front tooth is capped with a tiny piece of polished amber.

Her shadow sometimes appears to ripple like water when she performs a druidic rite.

Voice

A young contralto that sounds like reeds moving in a night breeze. When frightened, she speaks too quickly. When defending someone helpless, her voice becomes low, steady, and unexpectedly commanding.

Clothing

A patched moss-gray cloak fastened with a polished animal rib, a sleeveless brown tunic, reed-woven leggings, mud-dark boots, and a belt carrying herb pouches, chalk, twine, and three tiny clay bells

Body Language

Tavra keeps her shoulders slightly hunched and her elbows close to her body, but her head tilts sharply whenever she hears an animal cry. Her fingers constantly test the edges of her reed charms. When she finally makes a decision, she plants both feet firmly and looks directly at the person opposing her.
