Thraxis Silverwing
Oathkeeper Scribe
Thraxis Silverwing
Species
Silver-scaled dragonborn
Appearance
Thraxis is a narrow-shouldered dragonborn with tarnished silver scales that catch the light like old coins rather than polished armor. His scales overlap in uneven ridges along his throat, giving his voice a faint rasp even when he whispers. A pair of vestigial silver wings emerges between his shoulder blades, too small for flight but large enough to stir dust when he turns sharply. He moves with careful, deliberate economy, as if every gesture has been recorded in a legal transcript. His face is severe and hawkish, yet his hands are unexpectedly delicate, with long black claws stained permanently by blue sealing ink. The contradictory impression is striking: he looks like a ceremonial war hero, but carries himself like an exhausted archivist afraid of disturbing a sleeping room.
“Measured and precise, with a dry rasp beneath every sentence. He speaks in complete formal clauses, but when genuinely moved he slips into intimate Draconic proverbs.”

Distinguishing Features
Vestigial silver wings that cannot carry him but flare when he is alarmed.
A thin scar running from his left nostril to the corner of his mouth, caused by a collapsing archive beam.
Permanent blue-black ink stains beneath his claws.
An oath-ring containing a sliver of pale dragon bone.
One horn is chipped near the tip and filled with red sealing wax.
Voice
“A low, papery baritone with a faint metallic undertone. It sounds controlled even when he is frightened, and becomes almost gentle when he speaks to people who have been abandoned by authority.”
Clothing
A charcoal traveling coat reinforced with leather panels, a high indigo collar, soft iron bracers engraved with obsolete legal phrases, and a gray sash bearing the faded silver feather of the Custodians. His boots are dust-caked despite his fastidious habits.
Body Language
Thraxis keeps his wings tucked tightly when anxious and lets one wing rise slightly when he is preparing to challenge someone. He taps his oath-ring against his thumb while thinking. When lying by omission, he holds perfectly still, which is more revealing than any nervous gesture.
