Appearance
Radan is a narrow, weathered man whose stillness feels more unnatural than motion. He moves with a worker's economy, never lifting his feet higher than necessary, yet he can cross a room without making a floorboard complain. His hands are scarred across the knuckles and fingertips, with tiny copper filings permanently embedded beneath the skin. He has a long nose, a flattened left ear, and a pale burn mark that runs from his jaw to the collarbone. The unexpected thing about him is his smile, broad and almost boyish, appearing whenever he is repairing something or discussing food.
“His speech is low, precise, and workmanlike, with clipped consonants and occasional Nahuatl and Hungarian loan-words picked up from old guild crews. He pauses before names, as if testing their weight.”

Distinguishing Features
A copper wire is stitched beneath the skin of his right wrist and emerges through two tiny brass studs.
His left ear is flattened from an old explosion and cannot hear high-pitched sounds.
His fingernails are cut unevenly because he files them with a knife during travel.
He wears a small iron washer on a cord around his neck, taken from Toma-6's ruined chest.
His shadow sometimes seems to pause a fraction of a second after he moves.
Voice
“A dry baritone with a faint rasp, like a file drawn across soft metal. His voice is usually calm, but becomes warm and unexpectedly musical when speaking to children or sentient constructs.”
Clothing
A dark brown work coat reinforced with thin overlapping plates, oil-black trousers tucked into soft boots, a red neck scarf faded almost pink, and a broad leather belt crowded with picks, wire, chalk, wedges, and tiny screwdrivers. His sleeves are patched with mismatched cloth from places where he has worked under false names.
Body Language
Radan keeps his shoulders slightly rounded as if carrying a tool bag even when empty-handed. He taps two fingers against his thigh when counting exits, tilts his head toward mechanical noises, and turns his injured ear toward anyone he distrusts. When angry, he becomes unnervingly polite and stops blinking.
