Zahr Qam
Dark Paladin, custom oathbreaker archetype
Zahr Qam
Species
Dark Elf
Appearance
Zahr looks like a man carved from polished obsidian and then left out in bad weather. His movements are economical, almost courteous, but every turn of his shoulders suggests he is measuring exits, angles, and the distance between a person and their loved ones. Fine silver scars cross his throat and left cheek in branching geometric lines. His hands are broad for a drow, with ink embedded permanently beneath the nails from years spent restoring rune plates. He wears the expression of a patient merchant even while standing in blood. The contradictory detail is his left sleeve, which is embroidered with tiny blue flowers in clumsy, uneven stitches. His murdered daughter taught him the pattern when he was still a gentle man, and he has never allowed anyone to repair it.
“His voice is low, controlled, and unexpectedly warm, with the careful rhythm of a shopkeeper explaining a fair bargain. When anger breaks through, he drops into clipped Undercommon phrases and speaks so softly that listeners lean toward him.”

Distinguishing Features
Silver geometric scars run from his left cheek to his collarbone.
His right canine tooth is capped with dull bronze engraved with a tiny closed eye.
The blue flower embroidery on his left sleeve is visibly uneven and repeatedly repaired.
His shadow sometimes points toward the nearest underground passage instead of following the light.
He carries the smell of lamp oil, iron filings, and bitter tea.
Voice
“Low, warm, and deliberate, with a soft rasp like a file drawn across metal”
Clothing
He wears a long charcoal coat over segmented black plate, the coat lined in faded blue silk. Bronze fasteners depict closed eyes. A broad sash holds ledgers, lockpicks, rune chalk, and a small brass tea flask. His gauntlets are mismatched, one military and one built from a child's workshop glove reinforced with dark metal.
Body Language
Zahr stands with his hands loosely folded behind his back, as though listening to a boardroom presentation. When someone mentions children, his thumb presses hard into the silver ring on his index finger. During combat, he advances with a slight forward lean, never wasting a step, and turns his head before his body as if expecting danger to arrive from below.
