Mirel Veyr
Cleric, Grave Domain
Mirel Veyr
Species
Tiefling
Appearance
Mirel Veyr appears at first like a soot-stained tiefling pilgrim who has walked too far through rain. Her skin is deep burgundy with a dry, velvety texture, marked by pale scars that resemble branching roots across her collarbones and left cheek. One swept horn is polished black and wrapped in copper wire, while the other is chipped near the tip and supports a tiny nest of dried moss. Her long silver hair is braided with funeral ribbons, seed pods, and little brass tags bearing the names of the dead. She moves with a careful, limping grace, placing each foot as if testing thin ice, yet she can suddenly cross a room with startling speed. Her most contradictory feature is her smile, which is warm, dimpled, and almost grandmotherly despite the corpse-pale eyes and arsenal of grave tools hanging from her belt.
“Warm and measured, with precise diction and occasional unsettling pauses. She speaks softly enough that listeners lean closer, then delivers grim facts with the gentle tone of someone discussing tea.”

Distinguishing Features
A chipped horn supporting a tuft of living moss
Pale root-like scars across her cheek and collarbones
A copper-wrapped black horn that hums near undead creatures
A dented iron lantern filled with softly glowing spores
A silver braid threaded with brass name-tags belonging to the unidentified dead
Voice
“A low, soothing contralto with a faint rasp, like paper dragged over stone. When frightened, she sounds younger and speaks with her mother's regional accent.”
Clothing
A charcoal traveling coat reinforced with leather shoulder panels, a moss-green waistcoat, high boots sealed with wax, fingerless gloves, and a belt crowded with specimen jars, grave tags, a hooked harvesting knife, and a dented iron lantern. Her clothing smells faintly of rain, smoke, and crushed mint.
Body Language
Mirel tilts her head as though listening to voices beneath the floor. Her tail coils around one ankle when she is uncertain and lashes sharply when she is lying. She touches the copper wire around her horn whenever someone mentions her family. In combat, she stands side-on with her lantern held low, making her silhouette look like a crooked shepherd carrying a second, glowing heart.
