Nhalyss, the Crown Above
Greater Deity, Divine Sovereign
Nhalyss, the Crown Above
Species
Outsider
Appearance
Nhalyss appears as a statuesque outsider crowned by a hovering ring of black gold. Her skin has the smooth texture of polished ivory, but faint seams of living gold move beneath it like rivers beneath ice. Her long hair falls in rigid, immaculate sheets that drift upward as though gravity is an opinion she has declined to entertain. Six translucent wings unfold from her back, each feather shaped like a narrow blade and inscribed with names that vanish when read. She moves without haste, yet always seems to arrive before those watching her expect it. Her expression is magnificent and almost tender, an unexpected contradiction to the cold precision of her judgments. When angered, her shadow becomes a kneeling figure wearing her face.
“Her voice is low, intimate, and perfectly controlled. It carries the warmth of a private confession and the finality of a sentence.”

Distinguishing Features
A hovering black-gold crown that rotates slowly in the opposite direction of her gaze.
Six blade-shaped wings covered in shifting divine names.
A shadow that sometimes kneels even when she stands.
A golden seam running from her throat to her sternum like a sealed wound.
Her reflection always appears seated on a throne, regardless of her actual position.
Voice
“A velvet command carried through cathedral bells, intimate enough to feel personal and vast enough to sound like the sky itself.”
Clothing
She wears layered black robes beneath a sleeveless mantle of dark crimson velvet. The fabric is embroidered with gold legal seals, conquered constellations, and tiny scenes of kneeling kings. A high collar frames her throat, where a vertical golden line pulses like a second heartbeat. She wears no visible footwear, yet golden footprints appear beneath her wherever she walks.
Body Language
Nhalyss stands perfectly still while others speak, with her hands folded as though weighing invisible documents. She tilts her head only when intrigued. When someone accepts her offer, one wing curls around them like a ceremonial canopy. When someone refuses, her smile becomes warmer, which is far more alarming than anger.
