When the elder gods withdrew beyond the sky, six sacred animals were touched by the leftover radiance, hunger, law, and grief of the emptied world. Each ascended in a different place of power—sunrise, grave, tide, road, marsh, and rot—and together they became the first and last line of divine authority for mortals left behind.

In the age after the elder gods left, sacred beasts touched by lingering divinity awakened into godhood. The world is framed as a remote middle place: above it drifts the Blue Ember Sky where Soryn keeps watch, below it lies the Black Den of Vharzul, and between them move the courts of the lesser gods. Mortals are believed to live in the long shadow between absent ancestors and unreachable stars.

A loose celestial court with two greater powers at the center and four lesser powers orbiting them. There is no single pope or high priesthood; instead, each region balances sky-temples, grave shrines, moon observatories, road chapels, law-halls, and burial gardens according to local need.

Most mortal societies revere the pantheon as distant, seasonal powers rather than intimate household gods. Temples are small, often built at crossroads, graveyards, marshes, and hilltops, with worship emphasizing omens, oaths, funerary duties, and practical blessings. Clerics usually choose one deity while acknowledging the rest as necessary counterweights in the cosmic balance.

The dead do not pass into a single paradise. Souls drift first to the Ember Current, a pale sky-river guarded by Soryn the Blue Phoenix of Light, then are judged at the Three Jaws of Vharzul, the three-headed wolf of the underworld. The worthy are carried toward distant star-gardens, the penitent return as omens, and the oath-breakers are held in quiet twilight until their names are forgotten.
