Origin

When the multiverse first began to fray, six divinities were bound by necessity to forge a shared answer: armor to endure, a sword to strike, and a crown to decide. Their union was temporary, but the relics endured and became the basis of a religion built around threshold, travel, law, and the terrible cost of crossing worlds.

Cosmology

Reality is a chain of adjacent universes separated by thin luminous seams called the Veil Between. Each deity holds a different key to those seams, and together they formed the triune relics of armor, sword, and crown to stabilize the crossings. Mortals exist on small worlds, seen from afar like embers on dark cloth, while the gods move between them as distant constellations.

Structure

A distant, federated priesthood organized into six orders, each devoted to one deity and linked by neutral gate-cloisters that maintain shrines, records, and safe passage rites. No single high priest rules all; instead, a Conclave of Thresholds meets only when a universe-threatening breach occurs.

Mortal Relations

Most mortals encounter the pantheon only through shrines at borderstones, wrecked gateways, or the aftermath of a crossing. Devotion is practical rather than intimate: travelers invoke Oryn, judges call on Veyr, artisans praise Caelix, defenders honor Seraphine, schemers whisper to Morcant, and outcasts sometimes fearfully bargain with Thale. The gods are distant enough to inspire awe, yet close enough to alter a road, a contract, or a destiny.

Afterlife

The dead do not pass to one hall, but drift through six distant courts known as the Far Circles, each ruled in part by the deity whose philosophy most resembled the mortal soul. From there, spirits may be called back through portal rites, traded between universes, or released into the Pale Reach, a silent expanse where memory thins and names are lost.
