Appearance
Veyra is a rangy kenku with soot-black feathers that fade to silver around her throat, as though ash has settled permanently beneath the plumage. She moves with a careful, gliding precision, rarely making a sound unless she intends to. A narrow strip of her left wing is permanently bare, revealing scarred gray skin beneath. Her eyes are bright amber and unsettlingly attentive, always tracking mouths and hands before faces. She wears a little brass bell around one ankle, yet the bell has been packed with wax so it never rings. The unexpected contradiction is her tenderness: for all her ominous stillness and predatory gaze, she handles injured birds with the delicacy of a midwife.
