Sashu Qhantir
Species
Dragonborn
Appearance
Sashu is a broad-shouldered blue-gray dragonborn with scales that resemble river stones polished by glacial melt. Fine silver lines run between several scales along his throat and ribs, remnants of an old frostbite injury that never healed evenly. His left horn is blunt and ridged while the right curves elegantly backward, giving his head an asymmetrical silhouette. He moves with surprising quietness for his size, placing each foot as if testing a bridge plank. His hands are scarred and careful, built for hauling wounded travelers, yet he keeps one tiny porcelain bird tucked behind his belt like a child's toy. The first impression he leaves is of cold mountain weather made into a person, but his smile is unexpectedly warm.
“Measured and low, with breathy sibilants and a faint highland cadence. He pronounces names carefully, pauses before promises, and uses route metaphors when discussing fear, loyalty, or death.”

Distinguishing Features
Uneven horns, with the right horn long and swept back and the left horn blunt from an old break.
Silver scar-lines between the scales of his throat and ribs.
A braided blue cord around his wrist, used as the visible anchor of his Protective Tether.
A tiny porcelain bird hidden behind his belt.
His shield bears dozens of small notches, one for every traveler he personally brought through a lethal route.
Voice
“A deep, breathy baritone with a dry rasp, like wind passing through a stone cairn. His battle commands are sharp whistles and clipped Draconic syllables, while his private speech softens into a near whisper.”
Clothing
A quilted charcoal gambeson beneath a battered breastplate, layered with a rust-red woven shoulder mantle patterned in stepped mountains. He wears reinforced climbing trousers, soft-soled boots, a broad belt of rope loops, and a pale blue scarf used as a signal flag. His shield is wrapped in faded yellow cloth so allies can find him in snow or smoke.
Body Language
Sashu angles his body toward the nearest endangered person even during ordinary conversation. He touches the braided tether cord at his wrist when anxious, plants his feet wide when making a promise, and tilts his head so his uneven horns point toward whoever is speaking. When ashamed, he becomes very still rather than defensive.
