Mair Brag

Mair Brag
Species
Dragonborn
Appearance
Mair stands with the compact balance of someone always prepared for the ground to tilt. Her copper-red scales are matte across the shoulders but polished bright along the knuckles, as though she has spent years bracing herself against stone. A narrow horn on the left side of her brow is broken halfway down and capped with a little brass sleeve. Her tail is long, whip-thin, and constantly making tiny corrections behind her. She moves in abrupt, impossible angles, stopping without a final sway and turning as if pulled by an unseen current. Her intimidating draconic silhouette is contradicted by the soft wool ribbons tied around her wrists, each embroidered with a child's crooked drawing.
“Her voice is low, clipped, and resonant, with a faint rasp like metal drawn across stone. She speaks quickly when giving directions and painfully slowly when discussing guilt.”

Distinguishing Features
A brass cap fitted over a broken left horn.
A line of pale, almost white scales running from her throat to the end of her tail.
Three embroidered child drawings tied around her wrists.
A chipped lower fang that makes her smile look lopsided.
A habit of leaving small chalk arrows at every unfamiliar crossroads.
Voice
“A deep contralto with a dry, bell-like undertone. Her laughter is brief and startlingly youthful, while her battle commands sound almost gentle.”
Clothing
A sleeveless charcoal gambeson under fitted bronze-studded half plate, reinforced blue-gray trousers, soft climbing boots, and a weatherproof red sash used to mark safe routes. Her armor is scratched in deliberate parallel lines that record journeys rather than victories.
Body Language
She leans slightly forward even while standing still, as if expecting the world to move beneath her. Her hands trace invisible angles when she is thinking. When frightened, she becomes perfectly motionless except for the tip of her tail.
