Orryn Thorn-Crowned
Wild Deity
Orryn Thorn-Crowned
Species
Outsider
Appearance
Orryn appears as a lean, long-limbed figure whose silhouette shifts between a weather-beaten traveler, a horned woodland sovereign, and a column of wind carrying leaves. Their skin has the texture of dark river stone veined with living green shoots. A crown of blackthorn grows directly from their skull, blooming with tiny white flowers whenever they are amused and dripping red sap whenever they are angry. Their movements are abrupt and animal-like, with sudden crouches, tilted head movements, and impossible changes of direction. Their smile is broad and mocking, but their hands are extraordinarily gentle. The strangest contradiction is that their wild, thorn-covered body smells faintly of clean linen and old libraries.
“A bright, rasping voice that sounds like wind through dry leaves. Orryn can shift from a conspiratorial whisper to a thunderous proclamation without warning.”

Distinguishing Features
A living blackthorn crown with thirteen branches, one for each village destroyed by the original duke
A left hand with bark-textured fingers and a right hand covered in delicate silver scars
A shadow that sometimes becomes a running fox, a flock of crows, or a kneeling prisoner
White flowers bloom in their footprints when they feel genuine compassion
Their reflection always appears wearing a crown of iron instead of thorns
Voice
“Rough, musical, and impossible to place, like a crow imitating a priest through a storm”
Clothing
A ragged coat sewn from funeral cloth, hunter's green wool, and scraps of old royal banners. The coat is fastened with mismatched keys instead of buttons. Beneath it, Orryn wears a sleeveless tunic patterned with maps of vanished borders and soft boots made from pale bark.
Body Language
Orryn rarely stands still. They perch on furniture, crouch on fence posts, lean too close, or circle people as if testing the shape of their intentions. When sincere, they lower their head until the thorn crown nearly touches the ground. When lying, they become perfectly motionless.
