Tharn Ashhorn
Divine Guardian
Tharn Ashhorn
Species
Outsider
Appearance
Tharn Ashhorn appears as a tall, broad-shouldered outsider whose body seems carved from charcoal-veined basalt and warmed from within by slow red fire. Their movements are deliberate and economical, like a mourner carrying a full basin without spilling it. Ash gathers at their heels but never clings to their skin. Two antler-like horns sweep backward from their brow, each branch capped with tiny glowing embers. Their face is severe, with a blunt nose, deep-set eyes, and a mouth that rarely softens. The unexpected contradiction is their hands: enormous, blackened, and scarred like a smith's, yet capable of astonishing gentleness. They can lift a wagon axle, then mend a child's torn funeral ribbon without wrinkling it.
“Their voice is low, dry, and resonant, like iron dragged across a temple floor. They pause before names and speak the names of the dead with exceptional clarity.”

Distinguishing Features
Antler-like basalt horns with ember-bright tips
Copper-threaded names sewn throughout their mantle
A thin vertical crack across the left cheek that glows when they invoke divine power
Ash that falls from their clothing whenever they remember the Night of Seven Fires
A funeral bell hanging from their belt that rings only when someone nearby is being falsely mourned
Voice
“A deep, restrained voice with the dry resonance of a funeral bell and the warmth of a banked hearth.”
Clothing
A smoke-gray mantle hangs over layered black wool, scorched leather, and plates of dull iron. The mantle is stitched with hundreds of tiny names in copper thread. Around their waist hangs a funeral cord bearing keys taken from burned homes, abandoned prisons, and ruined temples.
Body Language
Tharn stands like a pillar braced against a storm, feet planted wide and shoulders square. Their horns angle toward whoever is speaking. Anger makes the embers in their horns brighten, while sorrow causes ash to drift from their sleeves. They kneel only for children, the dying, and the dead.
