Odran Vesk
Cleric
Odran Vesk
Species
Hill Dwarf
Appearance
An elderly dwarf with a balding crown and a broad, carefully maintained grey beard that falls in square, iron-grey layers to his chest. His scalp is pink and freckled from years beneath forge smoke, while the skin around his eyes is darkened by sleepless nights and lamp soot. He moves with the cautious, deliberate balance of someone carrying a full cup, yet his hands are startlingly quick when counting coins or reaching for a hidden weapon. His left ear is notched into three small steps, each cut marking a political betrayal. He smells faintly of beeswax, old stone, and bitter tea. The unexpected contradiction is his smile, which is warm, almost grandfatherly, even when he is arranging someone's ruin.
“His voice is low, dry, and steady, with the clipped rhythm of a foreman giving instructions underground. He speaks slowly enough that every pause feels deliberate.”

Distinguishing Features
Three deliberate notches cut into his left ear
A square iron prayer ring worn smooth on one side by constant rubbing
A pale scar crossing the bridge of his nose from the Red Sump Collapse
One lower canine tooth replaced by a polished piece of amber
His beard is braided with plain iron wire rather than gold
Voice
“A gravelly baritone with a tired warmth beneath it, like stones shifting under deep water”
Clothing
He wears layered charcoal robes beneath a battered suit of blackened plate, its edges repaired with brass rivets. A narrow red cord is tied around his wrist in the style of quarry workers mourning a dead shift. His ceremonial mantle is lined with patched blue wool rather than silk, though the inner hem is embroidered with tiny silver tally marks representing debts owed to the temple.
Body Language
He keeps his shoulders slightly hunched, as if making himself appear smaller than his authority. His thumb rubs the edge of his prayer ring whenever he is lying. In public he stands with both hands folded over his mace, but when angered he shifts one foot half a step toward the nearest exit.
