Seshaji Mbaruku
Barbarian
Seshaji Mbaruku
Species
Dragonborn
Appearance
Seshaji is a broad-shouldered dragonborn whose movements are unexpectedly careful, almost delicate, as though every step has been measured against the memory of a ship's rolling deck. His scales are dull jade with thin ivory seams around the joints, roughened like river stones where old burns have healed. A split horn curls from the left side of his brow, and several smaller horn tips have been capped with polished brass. His hands are enormous, but he repairs fishing nets with the patience of a jeweler. He leaves behind an impression of contained weather: quiet pressure, mineral breath, and the sense that something violent is choosing not to happen.
“Measured and low, with careful pauses. His coastal accent rounds vowels and gives sibilants a soft hiss.”

Distinguishing Features
A brass cap covers the broken horn over his left eye.
His lower jaw bears three pale scars shaped like fishhooks.
The fingertips of his right hand are permanently darkened by acid burns.
He carries a child's red scarf tied around his wrist, never around his neck.
His breath smells faintly of limes when he is frightened.
Voice
“A deep, dry baritone with a faint rasp, like rope dragged across wet wood. His laugh is surprisingly high and abrupt, ending before it fully begins.”
Clothing
A sleeveless indigo dock coat hangs over a patched linen tunic. He wears layered rope belts, knee-high river boots, fingerless gloves, and a faded red scarf tied around his right wrist. His clothing smells faintly of brine, lamp oil, and crushed citrus peel.
Body Language
Seshaji keeps his torso angled toward doors and open water. When relaxed, he folds his hands over his stomach and rocks faintly from heel to toe. When angered, he becomes perfectly still except for the slow flexing of his left hand. He often lowers his head before speaking, which can look submissive until his eyes rise.
