Mael Veyr, the Last Ferryman
Oathbound Ferryman, Spirit Warden
Mael Veyr, the Last Ferryman
Species
Human
Appearance
Mael Veyr is a broad-shouldered human man with the weathered stillness of a statue left beside a river for too long. His skin is brown and wind-chapped, crossed by fine silver scars that glow faintly when ghosts are near. He moves with a measured, rocking gait, as though every floor were the deck of a boat in rough water. His left hand is always cool to the touch, even beside a fire. He has a crooked smile, a broken nose, and an unexpectedly delicate habit of arranging flowers in abandoned helmets before battle.
“Low and deliberate, with a soft riverland accent. He pauses before names, as if checking whether the dead are listening.”

Clothing
A dark green wool coat reinforced with boiled leather, a faded red scarf belonging to his brother, iron-toed boots, fingerless gloves, and a belt hung with sealed glass candles. His clothing smells faintly of wet ash and rosemary.
Body Language
Keeps his shoulders square and his hands visible, but leans slightly toward nearby water as if listening to it. In danger, he becomes unnervingly still. When emotionally moved, he rubs the old silver scar across his palm.
