Kittok Tauk
Scavenger Adept, custom rogue-like class
Kittok Tauk
Species
Human
Appearance
Kittok is a wiry human woman with a narrow, weather-cut face and the restless balance of someone who expects the ground to betray her. Her hands are broad-knuckled and permanently stained with copper, soot, and blue fungus ink. She moves in quick, economical skips rather than strides, often pausing with one bare foot pressed flat against a wall to feel vibrations. Her left ear is missing its outer rim, yet she wears a tiny polished brass earring through the scar. She looks fragile until she lifts something heavy, at which point her thin frame seems to lock together like a folded trap. The unexpected softness is her smile, which is shy, almost apologetic, and completely at odds with the iron nails she keeps between her teeth during a fight.
“Low, clipped, and precise. She speaks quickly when discussing routes or tools, but slows dramatically around names of the dead.”

Distinguishing Features
The missing outer rim of her left ear, threaded with a brass ring.
A pale burn scar shaped like branching roots across her right shoulder.
A line of tiny black tally marks tattooed along the inside of her wrist, one for every person she failed to reach in a collapse.
Her fingernails are cut unevenly because she uses them to scratch route marks into soft concrete.
She smells faintly of wet stone, lamp oil, and bitter mint.
Voice
“A dry contralto with a faint rasp, like paper dragged over stone. She sometimes drops into a whisper when speaking to walls or old machines.”
Clothing
Several layers of torn flour sacks, old thermal cloth, and faded work shirts tied together with electrical cable. Her knees and elbows are wrapped in rubber strips. A strip of yellow emergency tarp hangs from her back like a broken pennant. Nothing matches, but every piece has been deliberately patched.
Body Language
Kittok keeps her shoulders slightly hunched and her weight on the balls of her feet. She rarely faces anyone squarely. During lies, she touches a wall, floor, or table with two fingers. During honest confessions, she becomes perfectly still.
