Selvek Orr
Warlock, The Undead
Selvek Orr
Species
Tiefling
Appearance
Selvek is a tall, narrow tiefling whose movements are controlled with almost clerical precision. His backward-curving horns have been cut flat at the tips and capped in black iron, leaving thin rust-colored stains along his temples. His face is hidden behind a smooth bone-white mask with only one vertical slit where the mouth should be. Dozens of names have been carved into his lamellar armor, then violently scratched away until the metal is furred with scars. He wears gloves stitched from funeral shrouds, and carries a long black quill made from the wing feather of a corrupted raven. When he gestures with it, luminous words appear briefly in the air before folding inward and vanishing. His presence suggests a starving scholar, but he has the heavy hands and bruised knuckles of someone accustomed to physical violence.
“His voice is low, dry, and carefully paced, with a faint rasp like a quill dragged across rough parchment. He speaks Common with clipped precision and occasional Bantu-like vowel rhythms, while his Infernal becomes almost melodic.”

Distinguishing Features
Backward-curving horns cut flat and capped in black iron.
A blank bone mask with a single vertical mouth slit.
Names carved into his armor and aggressively scratched out.
A black raven quill that writes glowing words in empty air.
A pale scar around his throat where he once cut away his own name.
His shadow sometimes mouths words that Selvek does not speak.
Voice
“A restrained baritone with a paper-dry rasp, as if every word has been stored in a sealed archive before being released.”
Clothing
A charcoal burial coat lies beneath overlapping strips of blackened iron armor. The armor is etched with names that have been violently scratched out. His boots are wrapped in waxed cloth to mute his footsteps, and a white funeral sash is tied around his left wrist despite the rest of his clothing being nearly black.
Body Language
Selvek stands with his shoulders slightly rounded, as though shielding a fragile object beneath his ribs. He tilts his masked face toward speakers without turning his whole body. His quill traces invisible lines whenever he is thinking. In anger, he becomes perfectly still except for the slow flexing of his gloved fingers.
