Miro
Diviner and Roadwarden
Miro
Species
Human
Appearance
Miro is a narrow, weathered man whose age shows in the folded skin beneath his jaw and the pale scars crossing both hands, yet he moves with the quiet balance of someone accustomed to unstable ground. His face is long and wind-burnished, with a blunt nose, deep-set golden eyes, and a mouth that seems permanently close to either a smile or a warning. His hands tremble when he is idle, but become perfectly still when he touches a map, a wounded creature, or a magical object. He smells faintly of dust, cedar smoke, and bitter orange peel. His most unsettling contradiction is his warmth: he looks like a starving pilgrim, but carries himself with the patient confidence of a man who has already survived the end of the world once.
“His voice is low, dry, and deliberate, with a road-worn rasp that becomes unexpectedly gentle when addressing the wounded or afraid. He pauses before names, as though checking each one against a private ledger.”

Distinguishing Features
Striking metallic-gold irises with thin vertical pupils that brighten near active magic.
A crescent-shaped scar across his left palm, warm to the touch when a dragon is nearby.
Three missing fingertips on his right hand, replaced by articulated silver caps engraved with tiny roads.
A habit of tilting his head toward empty spaces, as if someone unseen has just spoken.
His shadow occasionally points in a direction different from the light source.
Voice
“A low, dry baritone with a road-worn rasp, capable of turning almost tender without becoming soft”
Clothing
A sun-faded charcoal coat hangs over layered linen, patched wool, and a high-collared vest sewn with tiny brass route markers. His boots are cracked but meticulously maintained. A saffron scarf is wrapped twice around his throat, and the inner hem of his coat bears hand-stitched names of places that have vanished.
Body Language
Miro stands slightly hunched until someone threatens a companion, when his spine straightens and his gaze becomes unnervingly direct. He touches two fingers to his cane before making a promise. When uncertain, he rubs the scar across his left palm and turns his head as though listening to a distant bell.
