Great oaks, their bark silvered by ancient lichen, reach like skeletal fingers toward a sky perpetually obscured by a shifting, bioluminescent mist. Between these giants, strands of thick, opalescent webbing hang like frozen lightning, humming a low, discordant note when the wind catches them. Everything here feels misplaced. You might find a hunter’s boot perfectly preserved in a web thirty feet up, or see the flicker of a shadow move where no body stands. The forest floor is a carpet of soft moss and shattered chitin, hiding the pitfalls of a realm where the border between the Material Plane and the Ethereal has worn paper-thin.
