Sazhash Kvelashvili

Sazhash Kvelashvili
Species
Shadar-kai
Appearance
Sazhash is a lean, long-limbed man whose movements are too quiet for his size. He seems to arrive in a room a heartbeat before the sound of his footsteps does. His skin has a matte, smoke-brown texture, but thin silver lines run beneath it like cracks in cooled glass, brightening whenever he casts a spell. His face is narrow and weathered, with a blunt nose, high cheekbones, and a small crescent scar through his lower lip. He keeps his head slightly tilted, as if listening to a distant conversation. The unexpected contradiction is his hands: broad, callused, and permanently stained with blue-black ink, they look like a scribe's hands rather than an assassin's. He leaves people with the impression of a kindly undertaker who has just remembered something they hoped he had forgotten.
“His voice is low, breathy, and sibilant, with softened consonants and a subtle mountain cadence. He pronounces names carefully, as though each one is a fragile object.”

Distinguishing Features
Silver fissure-like lines beneath the skin that glow during magic.
A crescent scar cutting through the lower lip.
A shadow that sometimes looks toward sounds before he does.
Blue-black ink permanently staining both palms and fingertips.
A copper ring containing a sliver of nightglass, worn on a cord around his neck.
Voice
“A quiet, resonant baritone that seems close to the listener's ear even when Sazhash stands across a room. His laughter is unexpectedly bright and lasts only one breath.”
Clothing
A charcoal wool coat fastened with hammered copper toggles, layered over a sleeveless indigo tunic and loose black trousers. His sash bears tiny woven patterns resembling eyes, teeth, and mountain paths. He wears one red wool glove on his left hand and leaves the right bare for spellcasting. A hood lined with dull silver thread casts a crescent of darkness across his face.
Body Language
He keeps his elbows close to his ribs and turns his whole body toward whoever speaks. His fingers often trace invisible letters on his palm. When lying, he becomes unusually still, while his shadow continues making small restless movements.
