Kethra Gategan
Paladin, Oath of the Dragonward custom oath
Kethra Gategan
Species
Half-Elf
Appearance
Kethra is a tall half-elf woman with sunny bronze skin scattered with dense freckles across her nose, shoulders, and knuckles. Her long red curls are thick, wind-tangled, and threaded with tiny white dragon vertebrae that click softly when she turns her head. Her turquoise eyes are unusually pale at the center, like seawater over sand, and her left eyebrow bears a narrow scar shaped like a hooked claw. She moves with the careful balance of someone forever walking on a slanted deck, placing each foot deliberately before suddenly exploding into violent speed. Her smile is warm and almost disarming, but her hands are callused, scarred, and permanently stained with blue-black scale dust. The contradictory impression she leaves is that of a cheerful summer traveler who looks most comfortable beside a burning carcass.
“Her speech is plain, quick, and salt-town practical, colored by occasional old-fashioned Persian and Old English turns of phrase. She speaks softly when discussing the dead and loudly when giving orders in battle.”

White dragon vertebrae braided into her red hair

Blue-black scale dust permanently embedded beneath several fingernails

“A low, sun-warm contralto with a rough edge, like a campfire burning in a sea cave. When furious, she becomes unnervingly quiet rather than loud.”

Sun-faded ivory plate reinforced with overlapping copper bands, a teal wool cloak cut short for riding, high leather boots, red cord wrapped around her sword arm, and a belt hung with dragon teeth labeled by date and location
