Mira Vesk
Paladin, Oath of the Last Scale
Mira Vesk
Species
Half-Elf
Appearance
Mira is sun-browned rather than merely tan, with golden freckles scattered across her nose, shoulders, knuckles, and the tops of her ears. Her long red curls are thick, unruly, and usually tied with strips of blue dragon-hide, though loose coils constantly escape and bounce against her armor when she moves. Her turquoise eyes are clear and startling, but the left is crossed by a tiny white scar that makes her gaze seem slightly uneven. She moves with the cautious balance of someone walking on a ship's deck, always ready for sudden motion. Her hands are broad, callused, and stained with alchemical silver. The unexpected softness of her face makes her look almost gentle until she smiles without humor at the mention of a dragon.
“Her speech is direct and practical, with occasional clipped phrases inherited from her mother's mountain dialect. She speaks slowly when offering mercy and rapidly when describing danger.”

Distinguishing Features
A white scar crossing her left turquoise eye
A line of tiny burn marks around her right wrist
A silver dragon tooth worn on a cord beneath her armor
A missing upper canine that shows when she smiles
Blue dragon-hide ribbons woven through her red curls
Voice
“Low and bright, with a dry rasp from years of mountain air. She sounds reassuring when speaking to the frightened and frighteningly calm when speaking to the dangerous.”
Clothing
She wears polished half-plate over a quilted saffron gambeson, with blue cloth tucked beneath the shoulder guards as a sign of her first dragon hunt. Her cloak is stitched from mismatched scraps of travel blankets and bears burn holes along the hem. A red wool sash holds small silver bells that never ring because she has packed each one with wax.
Body Language
Mira plants her feet widely and keeps her shoulders relaxed, but her fingers constantly test the edge of her sword guard. When listening, she tilts her head like a hunting bird. She rarely points at people. Instead, she points at exits, windows, rooftops, and distant ridgelines.
