Interdimensional Being
Appearance
John looks like a tired middle-aged man who has spent too long standing in train stations. His face is ordinary enough to be forgotten, yet people remember the exact angle of his smile for years. His short dark hair is neatly combed on one side and perpetually disobedient on the other. He moves with the loose impatience of a laborer avoiding puddles, but when his mood changes, his body becomes unnervingly still, as if the universe has paused around him. His hands are broad, callused, and stained with ink despite never appearing to write. The unexpected contradiction is his uniform: immaculate in cut and military precision, but repaired at the elbows with humble gray thread and carrying the faint smell of fried onions.
“His everyday voice is dry, conversational, and mildly offended, with a worn-in cadence that makes cosmic statements sound like complaints about rent. When speaking sincerely, his voice becomes deep enough to vibrate in the ribs.”

Distinguishing Features
His right eye reflects the viewer's worst possible future for one heartbeat at a time.
His shadow sometimes salutes people he dislikes.
A faint seam runs across his throat, as if his head was once removed and carefully reattached.
His left boot leaves small red footprints even on clean stone.
He carries an ordinary wooden spoon that has survived the destruction of three realities.
Voice
“A dry baritone with the rough warmth of a tired shopkeeper, capable of dropping into a resonant, ancient register that makes listeners feel the age of the stars.”
Clothing
A red military coat with black piping, tarnished brass buttons, a high collar, and immaculate cuffs. The coat is lined with scraps of maps from extinct worlds. He wears plain black trousers, worn leather boots, and a faded white shirt with one button permanently missing. A cheap red thread bracelet is tied around his left wrist.
Body Language
John slouches like a bored clerk, taps two fingers against his forearm, and often looks past people as if reading subtitles written in the air. During deception, he becomes more animated. During honesty, he becomes almost motionless. When his ancient nature surfaces, his shadow stands at attention even when he does not.
