Appearance
Gabor is a broad, weathered man whose body seems built from fence posts and old rope. His hands are permanently darkened by soil beneath the nails, while his face is unexpectedly delicate, with a narrow mouth and long lashes that make his hard stare seem almost mournful. He walks with a slight forward lean, as though pushing against an invisible winter wind, yet his movements become startlingly quick when someone steps near his grain stores. His beard is clipped close except for one uneven tuft beneath his chin, where a pale scar has interrupted the hair growth. He leaves the impression of a patient ox that has recently remembered it possesses horns.
“His voice is low, dry, and surprisingly gentle at the end of sentences. He speaks in clipped phrases, with a rural Hungarian cadence and occasional Greek-derived farming terms inherited from his grandmother's trade family.”

Distinguishing Features
A pale scar cuts from his left ear to the corner of his mouth.
His left little finger is missing its upper joint.
The silver wheat brooch on his coat has one leaf deliberately filed away.
His hands smell faintly of iron, even after washing.
He carries a small leather pouch of blackened seeds that no one else is allowed to touch.
Voice
“A low baritone with a rough edge, like a cart wheel rubbing against a stone axle. When genuinely frightened, he becomes almost whisper-quiet.”
Clothing
A dark green wool coat reinforced with leather at the shoulders, a cream linen shirt, high leather boots, and a burgundy sash containing his keys. His clothes are expensive but patched with immaculate stitching. He wears a silver brooch shaped like a wheat ear, though one of its leaves has been filed away.
Body Language
Gabor keeps his shoulders square and his hands visible, even when angry. He presses his thumb against the first knuckle of his left hand when lying. In a fight, he lowers his center of gravity and advances in short, efficient steps, turning his whole body like a plow cutting a furrow.
