Vessryn Oblivionbinder
Greater Deity of Souls, Mercy, and Oblivion
Vessryn Oblivionbinder
Species
Outsider
Appearance
Vessryn appears as a tall, serene woman whose presence makes every nearby sound seem muffled beneath deep water. Her skin has the texture of cooled candle wax, pale gray with faint blue veins that pulse like distant lightning. Her long hair drifts upward as if submerged, each strand black at the root and translucent at the tip, resembling smoke trapped in glass. Her movements are slow, intimate, and careful, yet she can cross a room between heartbeats when a soul attempts to flee. She leaves no footprints, but dead leaves curl toward her as she passes. The contradictory impression she creates is that of a gentle nurse wearing the physical form of a natural disaster.
“Her voice is low, warm, and close, as though spoken beside the listener's ear in an empty room. Every sentence carries a second, nearly inaudible voice repeating the final word.”

Distinguishing Features
A thin silver seam runs from her lower lip to her throat, opening slightly whenever a soul nearby lies.
Her shadow is shaped like a kneeling crowd, even when she stands alone.
A ring of tiny black moths circles her left wrist and vanishes whenever she speaks a true name.
Her reflection always appears several seconds older than her body.
Her tears fall upward and become glowing motes that whisper forgotten names.
Voice
“A soothing contralto with the intimacy of a bedside confession and the distant resonance of a cathedral crypt”
Clothing
A layered black and bone-white mantle sewn from burial shrouds, each panel embroidered with names in languages no living scholar recognizes. Beneath it she wears a close-fitting gown of dark violet silk, fastened with a silver reliquary containing a constantly whispering tooth.
Body Language
Vessryn keeps her hands folded near her heart when speaking kindly, as though protecting a small bird. When deciding whether someone must die, she tilts her head and watches the person's shadow instead of their face. Her fingers occasionally pluck invisible threads from the air.
