Appearance
Sheshan is a small goblin boy with long, jointed limbs and a narrow face that seems too alert for his age. His olive-green skin is roughened by dust storms, with pale scars crossing his knuckles like tiny stitches. His ears are oversized and ragged at the edges, each pierced with bent copper wire. He moves in sudden, sideways starts, as though every shadow might contain a falling building. His smile is startlingly gentle, almost priestly, while his hands are always prepared to steal, stab, or run. The contradictory impression is unmistakable: he looks like a starving stray, but carries himself like the last courteous host in a ruined world.
“Breathy and sibilant, with a soft hiss on his s sounds and occasional Levantine-flavored phrases such as "wallah" and "ya sahib" learned from old travelers. He speaks quickly when lying and slowly when telling the truth.”

Distinguishing Features
A thin vertical scar beneath his left eye, caused by falling glass.
A chipped lower canine wrapped with a strand of red thread.
Three copper wires pierced through his left ear, each producing a different faint rattle.
A blue scarf that belonged to his missing sister.
His shadow sometimes appears to twitch a heartbeat after he moves, an unexplained effect of the Glass Rain.
Voice
“A small, dry whisper with a musical lilt, as if every sentence is being carried through a narrow pipe. His laughter sounds like pebbles shaken in a cup.”
Clothing
A patchwork wrap of sailcloth, curtain scraps, and old flour sacks tied around his body with electrical cable. His feet are bound in strips of tire rubber. A faded blue child's scarf is wrapped twice around his throat, despite the heat.
Body Language
He keeps one shoulder turned toward the nearest exit, tilts his head to listen through walls, and rubs his copper ear wires whenever he is lying. When he trusts someone, he sits close enough for his knee to touch theirs but refuses to make eye contact.
