Sister Solara Ashfall
Cleric, Ember Choir Priest
Sister Solara Ashfall
Species
Dragonborn
Appearance
Sister Solara Ashfall is a tall dragonborn woman with brass-gold scales darkened at the throat and fingertips as though she has spent years breathing smoke. Fine cracks run across her left horn, filled with red candle wax and tiny threads of copper wire. Her movements are measured and priestly until someone nearby is threatened, when she becomes startlingly quick, folding her broad frame into a low, predatory stance. She smells of hot iron, saffron ash, and rain on stone. Her most unsettling feature is her gentle smile, which remains warm even while she delivers a condemnation or raises a weapon.
“Her voice is low, warm, and resonant, with a faint second tone beneath it, as though another singer is breathing in time. She becomes almost whisper-soft during funerals and thunderous when denouncing soul-binding.”

Distinguishing Features
A cracked left horn repaired with red wax and copper wire.
A permanent ember glows beneath the scales of her throat.
Her shadow sometimes appears to carry a censer even when her hands are empty.
The names stitched into her surcoat are written in three different scripts.
A small burn scar shaped like an open eye marks the center of her palm.
Voice
“A low contralto with the resonance of a bronze bell, softened by grief and sharpened by command.”
Clothing
She wears layered charcoal robes beneath a sleeveless copper-scaled surcoat, its hem stitched with the names of deceased choir members. A red sash holds prayer cords, a waterskin, and three sealed funeral candles. Her iron censer hangs from a chain around her wrist, while a soot-black cloak is pinned with a small sunburst made from melted manacles.
Body Language
Solara keeps one hand near her censer and tilts her head as though listening to a distant chorus. In anger, her throat scales glow dull red. When lying, she touches the wax-filled crack in her left horn. When grieving, she stands utterly still while the flame in her palm bends toward the nearest corpse.
