Ruzhkrik Dvalesh
Rogue
Ruzhkrik Dvalesh
Species
Mountain Dwarf
Appearance
Ruzhkrik is a compact mountain dwarf with a broad chest, heavy hands, and the deceptively balanced gait of someone accustomed to narrow ledges. His beard is braided into five uneven cords, each threaded with a different scrap of colored glass. His skin bears the gray-gold cast of old quarry dust, while his knuckles are polished pale from years of climbing rope. He moves quietly, almost delicately, yet every sudden turn has the force of a dropped hammer. The unexpected detail is his immaculate smile, bright and gentle enough to make his scarred face seem harmless until he stops smiling.
“His voice is low, carefully articulated, and edged with a dry mountain cadence. He speaks Common with clipped consonants and occasional Georgian-like turns of phrase, while his Dwarvish becomes rapid, musical, and difficult for outsiders to interrupt.”

Distinguishing Features
Five beard braids threaded with colored glass, one of which is cracked.
A thin white scar crosses the bridge of his nose and disappears beneath his right eye.
His left ear is slightly pointed from an old quarry accident, an odd trait for a dwarf.
A tiny black line tattooed around his right wrist marks the ferry routes of Kharzhek.
He smells faintly of lamp oil, wet stone, and crushed mint.
Voice
“A low, gravelly baritone that becomes unexpectedly soft around frightened people. His laughter sounds like loose stones sliding down a hill.”
Clothing
A soot-blue wool coat reinforced with hidden leather panels, a sleeveless vest of overlapping boiled-hide scales, soft gray trousers, and mud-colored climbing boots. His belt carries tools disguised as ordinary household implements, including a spoon that is actually a tension wrench.
Body Language
He keeps his shoulders square and his hands visible, but his left thumb constantly rubs the edge of a small glass bead hidden in his palm. When lying, he becomes perfectly still. When telling the truth, his beard cords twitch as he speaks.
