Stakes

If the party fails, Oakhaven becomes a permanent anchor for the Shadowfell, and every soul within will be transformed into a shadow-thrall.

Background Lore

Oakhaven was built over an ancient burial ground of a forgotten fey court. For centuries, the seals held, but recent logging in the Blackwood Grove has thinned the veil.

Several merchants have disappeared on the road to Oakhaven, and the village has gone silent, missing its last two tax payments. The Crown suspects a bandit blockade or a local uprising.
