The Bone Bastion is an ancient fortress of pale stone and titanic ossuary arches built over a burial field so old that the dead there were never properly named. Centuries ago, priests bound a Divine Spark beneath its lowest crypt, not as a blessing but as a seal, using prayer, blood, and a giant bell that was never meant to ring. In recent weeks, the south road has gone quiet, graves have been opened with surgical care, and the fortress has begun to answer disturbance with low, mournful vibrations that shake loose dust like ash.
